Spend the day off social media! Notice how it makes you feel.

I’m don’t scroll as much as I used to, and I turned all my notifications off 3 years ago because they gave me so much anxiety.. and honestly, they were a big distraction. They distracted me from working on the things I really needed to make time for.
The last few years I have been trying to spend less time on my phone in general. My text-back speed has dropped significantly, and now that I am reading this amazing book series, I can’t seem to make the time for my phone. And I’m proud of myself for it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with spending time on your phone, but sometimes it is nice to challenge yourself to find other ways to fill your downtime.
I accomplished a lot after work yesterday; I read 100 pages in my book, A Court of Mist & Fury (thank you Amanda), I worked out, made dinner, practiced some yoga, talked to my mom. I sat outside and watched the clouds roll in and the sunny day disappear but the breeze was warm and it never rained. There was something so calming about it. Sometimes it’s not about what others are doing, it’s about the small beautiful moments right in front of us.
Don’t let yourself miss any of those moments..
