Do one thing outside of your comfort zone

Stepping outside of your comfort zone can be downright scary. I have been terrified every single time I have forced myself to step out of my comfort zone, but each and every time I did, I grew. The experience and confidence that grew within me was worth all the anxiety before hand.

For this challenge I decided to go big. I started it earlier in the week, I finally got the guts to email my boss some ideas that I had to help our business grow. I went to him with an idea for an update on the website to better communication and scheduling with a client and I brought up a system that will make communication flow easier throughout the workplace. I waited all day for him to email me back, and when he didn’t email me by the end of the day, I started to doubt the ideas I had.. but I did not regret putting myself out there.

The next morning, I checked my email and there was an email from my boss saying that my website idea was off to the web design team.. and that he wanted to meet later in the week to discuss my other idea in more detail. Our meeting was today. I was so nervous all morning, until I started telling him my idea. I felt the confidence pulse through me. He loved my idea and said he was going to get started on putting it into action.

I am so proud of myself. Every time I have pushed myself to step up and step out of my box I’ve grown so much more then I ever expected. Never stop pushing yourself into situations that will help you grow, even if they scare you, or the rejection of the situation scares you.

Never stop growing
